Singing Lessons in Katy, TX For All Ages
Students of all ages are welcome at Cixi Music Studio, and we have the experience to work with anyone.
For young students who may not have experienced a voice change yet, we will focus on training their ear to identify intervals and melodies, then match those melodies with the voice. We can also teach students how to breathe correctly, as this fundamental skill will carry across into adult singing technique. Furthermore, we can teach young students how to read notes and rhythms, identify time signatures, and more.
Teens often need help finding their range and developing a nice tone after their voice has changed. We can introduce vocalization exercises that will build confidence, help them find their voice, and prepare for life in theater productions, choral groups, or as a soloist.
We also enjoy working with adult voice students, and we tailor each lesson to their needs. Some students want to sing with Bel Canto technique, and others love country music - whatever the case may be, let us help you sing more beautifully.
Voice Lessons in Katy For All Vocal Styles
You don’t need to be an aspiring opera singer to take lessons at our studio - we are happy to work with informal hobbyists, session musicians, and more. We focus on the fundamentals of breathing and tone production first, so everything you learn in lessons will be applicable across genres.
Our theater and opera students often need to focus on diction and projection, while singers in contemporary genres may wish to focus on mixing their chest and head voice or introducing breathiness and other stylistic elements.
Whatever your preferred genre may be, we will help you prepare for auditions, choose appropriate repertoire, and more.
