Guitar Lessons in Katy, TX For All Ages
Do you have a child who would enjoy guitar lessons? Or are you finally picking up the guitar as a working adult? We have fun classes for kids and private 1-on-1 lessons for all ages at our studio.
With children, we help them learn to hold the instrument properly, read chord diagrams, and strum and pick. They will learn the fundamentals of music and rhythm along the way, and we’ll equip them to practice effectively on their own at home.
Our adult students enjoy personalized instruction with an expert - we encourage you to tell your teacher about your goals. If you want to play along with Dolly Parton tunes, we are happy to help, and similarly, if you want to play Bach transcriptions on the classical guitar, we’ll work on your note reading and technical ability.
No two guitar students are the same, and that’s why we put our abundant knowledge of guitar literature and teaching methods to work for you. We won’t leave any stones unturned in your guitar education, regardless of your age.
Learn Varying Musical Styles in Your Katy Guitar Lessons
At a fundamental level, all guitarists must learn how to play chords, read notation on a staff or in tabs, and internalize a good sense of rhythm. Beyond that, lessons can be as genre-specific as you would like. If you want to play like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, we can focus on blues scales and chord progressions. If you want to play classical music, we can help you practice your scales, reading abilities, and choose helpful transcriptions for your instrument. If you aren’t sure what you want to do with the guitar, that’s fine too! We will guide you through the basics of the instrument and help you find where your passion lies.
